IT Project Manager (Espoo, Turku) Espoo

Do you want to be part of building the well-being of tomorrow? We are looking for a Project Manager to a permanent position in the Corporate Program Management organization at Orion.

Description of position

  • You will lead Digitalization and IT projects of various sizes and types including: development, system, life cycle management, and IT infrastructure projects.
  • As a project manager, you are responsible for all aspects of the project from creating the business case facilitating business benefits identification, defining the scope and schedule, planning the budget and resources, to delivering the project using our project management methodologies and model.
  • You will plan and execute projects according to set goals, ensuring they are delivered on time and within agreed scope and budget.
  • You utilize project management tools efficiently in projects and participate in the development of project and portfolio management methods.
  • You will report on projects to steering and decision-making forums and lead active risk management to minimize project risks.

The position is permanent, and you will work at either Orion's Turku or Espoo office. Orion offers a hybrid work possibility, but office presence is expected.

Description of unit

Join our dynamic team in the new Corporate Program Management unit! CPMO operates at a strategic level in the company, leading, guiding, and enhancing the portfolio management of key projects and programs, ensuring the achievement of Orion's strategic goals together with business units and functions. The New Medicines, Operations, and Digitalization portfolio management teams are responsible for the successful management of projects and the development of project culture.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Relevant education, e.g., a technical university degree
  • Previous experience and track record in project management, preferably leading IT projects
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with different people
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of Business Technology Standard and project management certification (IPMA or equivalent) is an advantage
