Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who is passionate about storytelling, social media, and creating a meaningful employer brand. The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate our employer branding related social media presence globally in Kalmar. This is a new role (in newly branded Kalmar) and reports to Global Head of Talent Acquisition in HR.


The position is offered on a fixed-term basis and is located in Helsinki, Finland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that highlights the employer brand on digital social media platforms and other relevant sites
  • Create engaging and creative recruitment marketing campaigns that capture attention of talents
  • Create compelling multimedia content that showcases the company culture, employee stories, and career opportunities
  • Engage with social media audiences to foster community engagement and brand loyalty
  • Analyze and report on social media performance to optimize strategies and improve KPIs
  • Assess trends in social media, employer branding, and adapt approaches accordingly
  • Act as a liaison between the communications and HR to ensure employer branding is woven into every aspect of social media content and strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in social media management
  • Understanding of employer branding and how to leverage social media to attract and retain talent
  • Demonstrated ability to create impactful and engaging recruitment marketing campaigns that capture attention
  • Proficient in social media tools and analytics platforms
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft messages tailored to specific audiences
  • Experience working in an international environment, managing global campaigns
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in one or more European languages is a plus
  • Understanding of local social media trends globally.
