We are looking to hire a Data Engineer with a strong background in working with financial and accounting data to join our Audit Technology Team in Helsinki.
What kind of work is it about?
We are looking for a business-oriented, self-driven and creative Data Engineer with a background in financial or accounting data solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing our existing and future data-centric products used in Audit. You will be responsible for finding the best technological solutions to automate and streamline audit practice's data related processes and building solid architecture to support downstream data analytics applications. You will also provide your data wrangling expertise to the engagement teams to help them to bring exceptional value to our clients.

Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize automated data pipelines and workflows to process accounting and financial data efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Utilize Alteryx, Alteryx Server, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and other data processing technologies to automate and streamline data processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Work with large datasets to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or other analytics platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist engagement teams in various data transformation related tasks with your expertise.

What do you expect from me?
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business information technology, data engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role with an emphasis on accounting or financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in using Alteryx and Alteryx Server. Knowledge in Databricks, Data Factory or other similar data processing technology is a plus.
- A strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
- Experience in building SQL data models and using database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in leading development streams in a project or managing a part of a solution independently.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multicultural teams.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, Finnish is a plus.
