We are looking for Project Engineer to support our spare part business at Valmet Tampere location in Lime Kiln and Chemical Recovery related process delivery projects.
As Project Engineer, you will focus both sales and delivery projects mainly in lime kiln technology but also evaporation and ash handling technology related projects. You work as spare part representative in sales projects, and you ensure spare part recommendation is specified and cost estimated in given schedule. In delivery projects, you are responsible person of spare part delivery. You ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled and project is delivered successfully. You work closely with our suppliers but also with our internal stakeholders. You will work independently but also as a team member, which require you to have good communication skills and willingness to work in global business in matrix organization.
Your main responsibilities are specifying spare part scope both in sales and delivery projects, cost estimation and pricing, collecting spare part details for itemization, ensuring spare parts are purchased and delivered on timely manner, and ensuring contractual requirements are met.
To be successful in this position, you need to be customer oriented and service minded person with positive "can do" attitude. You won't be afraid of uncertainty and challenging time schedules. You have good project management skills, having several projects ongoing simultaneously and keeping up with agreed time schedules. However, you won't stress when things are changing. You can prioritize your own work without leaving things in last minute. You are a team player with good networking skills. You are persistent and interested in finding information and creating a solution. Willingness to learn new things and ability to take responsibility and manage your work independently are essential in this role.
In addition, to succeed in this position, you must have:

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering

Proven work experience of project sales, execution, and/or project management is a must

Previous working experience of spare part sales and/or delivery or working in pulp and energy customer segment

Knowledge of chemical recovery process and systems in pulp industry, understanding of principle how systems are working and knowledge of spare parts for these systems

Ability to read mechanical drawings, PIDs and other technical documents

Customer orientation and capability to work under high pressure

Strong problem solving, communication and decision-making skills

Strong organization and teamwork skills and ability to work in global matrix organization

Willingness to travel occasionally

Fluent Finnish and English (written and spoken), other languages are a benefit
