We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the talented Backend team ensuring high-quality software for our customers and stakeholders in Tosibox Products & Technologies unit in Finland (Oulu, Tampere or Espoo office).
What You'll Do:
- Test Planning & Execution: Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Automation: Design and implement automated test cases to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Test Infrastructure Maintenance & Development: Build, maintain, and enhance test environments, tools, and systems
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance, scalability, and stress tests to validate system reliability under various conditions
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results and processes to suggest improvements for the QA lifecycle
In addition to your own team, you will be supported by 70+ Tosiboxians across the globe. Your accurate role in the team is tailored based on your skills and preferences.
We would love to hear from you if you identify yourself from some of the following items:
- 3+ years of experience in software QA, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
- 1+ years of experience in test automation and development
- Shell scripting skills
- Knowledge and experience with hypervisors (e.g., VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and virtualized environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Attention to detail and commitment to catching even the smallest bugs
- Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal English (Finnish is not mandatory) and a team-player attitude
And it's even more awesome if you have:
- Experience with server maintenance and managing server environments
- Knowledge of VPN protocols
- Experience with Linux systems
- Proficiency in Python for test automation
- Understanding of IP networks
- Understanding of PKI
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development with GitLab
- Experience with Agile methodologies
