Service Manager, Global Accounting Services

We are now looking for a growth-minded Service Manager to lead our accounting service clients and financial management team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of 10-15 accounting professionals. You will be responsible for their development and growth, recruiting new team members, and fostering a positive atmosphere aligned with Staria's core values: Collaboration, Courage & Commitment.
- Implement our Great Place to Grow strategy by helping your team members shine and evolve within Staria. You'll support their personal growth paths by providing opportunities to take on new challenges and deepen their expertise.
- Guide and support team members in accounting matters and client projects.
- Handle operational leadership responsibilities and resourcing, such as planning team vacations, managing workloads, and tracking working hours.
- Ensure client satisfaction and profitability for your accounts. Our clients are primarily international medium-sized / large growth companies.
- Deliver an excellent client experience to your designated clients by ensuring services align with our service promise, including quality reporting and ongoing account development. You'll promote outstanding collaboration between Staria and your clients, actively identifying and offering additional solutions tailored to their needs.
- Build connections across Staria's internal teams, collaborating with ERP consulting and BI & Planning teams in line with our One Staria principle. You'll ensure that clients remain at the heart of our operations and receive a comprehensive, high-quality service experience.
- Depending on your background and expertise, we can tailor the role to include consultative service production, allowing you to leverage your specialized skills.

We hope you can begin in this position in spring 2025. Our hybrid model allows for flexible remote work, but we expect you to work from one of our offices on a regular basis.

What helps you succeed in this role?
- Solid experience in financial management and a deep understanding of accounting processes in medium-sized and large companies.
- Strong background in financial management, accounting, taxation, controller services or some other financial tasks. You've previously worked with financial tasks yourself and have a thorough understanding of financial statements, enabling you to support your team in their daily work and recommend improved practices to clients.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- A passion for leadership and supporting people in their growth journeys. Previous team leadership experience is a strong advantage, but not mandatory. We hope you've been involved in onboarding, mentoring and sharing knowledge for other team members in a senior role.
- A desire to grow and develop alongside Staria. You take on challenges with enthusiasm and continuously improve your expertise, client relationships, and our organization with a can-do attitude.
- Strong English language skills. Knowledge of Finnish or other Nordic languages is a plus.
- A background in accounting firms and experience with customer-facing roles, account management, and profitability tracking are significant advantages.
