This position is located in Lappeenranta, Finland
Job Responsibilities
As the new Approvals Engineer your main task is to ensure our products meet Marine Standards and regulatory requirements.
In this critical role, you will manage marine certification activities for customer orders, overseeing timely approvals and maintaining compliance.
You will act as primary point of contact, between the sales team, production, and certification bodies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities include tracking certification expenses, collecting and preparing necessary documentation such as drawings and technical details for approval submissions, and coordinating information exchange between certification bodies and the engineering team to address queries and streamline processes.
Additionally, you will develop and finalize test plans in collaboration with the Classification Society, considering capacity constraints and project timelines.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification within appropriate technical field. Background in electrical engineering is an advantage.
Ability to understand and apply industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, Marine).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP and PLM systems such as SAP, Teamcenter, or Sovelia is advantageous.
Excellent proficiency in verbal and written English, combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
