Area Product Owner

Area Product Owner is responsible of feature planning, scheduling and execution in own software component competence area (CA). You understand the technical aspects of the features to be developed and you are responsible of development teams having capacity and capability to deliver the features in planned schedule. Your work requires collaboration with different stakeholder groups like system specification engineers and architects.  We expect also you to be able to describe the ongoing development status in your reporting and in challenging situation to define and drive the corrective actions to overcome the problems.
 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Responsible for the pipeline and efficiency 
  • Responsible for resource requesting from team managers and adapting resources to feature development according to feature priority and team's competence profile in cooperation with the line organization
  • Responsible for the deliverables: resource allocations to tasks, backlog for the deliverables, FB plan commitment, risk mitigation actions, Definition of Done (DoD) Declaration
  • Responsible for planning, execution, and reporting of the tests for the features 
  • Responsible for meeting DoD requirements at FB and Sprint exit reviews
  • Risk tracking and recovery actions.
  • Gathering retrospective feedback from teams, identifying root causes for incomplete or uncommitted items, and proposing improvement actions to be presented in the CA level retrospectives.
  • Inputs comes from program content & schedule, prioritized product backlog (system & product), program targets, quality targets, processes and tools 

     

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of product development overall from specification to testing
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use insights to make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience of JIRA tool and basic understanding of PowerBI reports
  • Basic knowledge of Radio products

Additional Requirements:

  • Background from development of wireless/telecom systems
  • Understanding of the SW, HW, Architecture or Specification work project management
  • Pro-activity and independent problem solving through own experience and network
  • Fluent verbal communication and writing skills in English language. Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
