COMMUNICATIONS PARTNER

In this integral position, you'll have the opportunity to steer employee engagement and employer branding through authentic, concise, and timely communications. We're seeking someone with a strategic mind and a storyteller's heart to collaborate closely with business leaders and specialists, ensuring that everyone from office staff to non-office employees, such as our dedicated cabin crew, pilots, and mechanics, stays connected and inspired. Your focus will be on Finnair-wide communication on topics related to employee experience and employee engagement, including Finnair strategy.

As a Communications Partner, you will be expected to:

  • Help the organisation to build a culture of trust, sense of purpose and employee engagement

  • Enable organisational and people transformation through well-planned and executed communications strategies and actions.

  • Translate Finnair's strategic vision into compelling content that resonates with a diverse workforce.

  • Support change management with insightful communication initiatives

  • Develop new ways and tools of communicating within Finnair to ensure smooth communications across units.

  • Lead Finnair's employee advocacy initiatives, working in close collaboration with Finnair's social media team.

  • Coach, support and train leaders in communication-related matters and help them engage with the personnel and build dialogue.

  • Plan, edit and write high-quality content for various internal and external channels including social media

  • Plan, produce and host live and online events

  • As a member of the Communications team, act as a company spokesperson by taking part in regular on-duty responsibilities and media desk duties when needed.

We believe you could be an exceptional fit if you have a proven track record as a communications professional, with insight into employer branding and employee engagement and experience in communicating strategy. We hope you are a creative communicator who possesses exceptional planning and project management capabilities, can think strategically, prioritise effectively, and simplify complex issues. Remarkable interpersonal skills, genuine interest in people and their stories and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization are crucial in this role.

The minimum qualifications that the successful candidate will be expected to meet are:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, preferably with corporate internal communications.

  • Experience and understanding of social media platforms.

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality content under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English.

  • Excellent digital skills, preferably from M365 tools.

  • A proactive approach, curiosity about people and processes, and a genuine empathetic nature.

Additional valued experiences:

  • Working with executive leadership and addressing a mobile, diverse workforce.

  • Development of communication channels, visual storytelling, community management, and engaging in media relations.

  • Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking are highly regarded assets.
