We're looking for a Controller, projects and investments to join Metsä Tissue's global operations controlling team at our Espoo location.
What is the job that awaits you?
As a Controller for Projects and Investments, you will play a key role in controlling Metsä Tissue's investment portfolio and major projects. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing financial justifications, supporting strategic projects, and contributing to monthly, annual, and long-term strategic planning processes. You will work closely with local mill controllers, project teams, and Operations management to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.
A significant part of your role will involve providing business controlling support to mills and project teams, as well as developing and enhancing project controlling practices. You will benchmark project practices and technologies, ensuring Metsä Tissue remains at the forefront of industry standards and innovation. Your work will also involve fostering collaboration across various departments and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
What kind of skills are we looking for?
You hold a Master's degree, ideally in Engineering or Economics, combined with extensive experience in business controlling or project controlling, with a strong preference for expertise gained in manufacturing investment projects. Your interest in financial figures, operations KPIs, and technology will help drive success in this role, alongside a development-oriented mindset and alignment with Metsä Tissue's values of responsible profitability, reliability, cooperation, and renewal.
As a person, you are analytical and proactive, with a strong ability to work independently while maintaining a well-organized and result-oriented approach. You thrive as a team player and communicator, fostering effective cooperation among colleagues and stakeholders.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Finnish is essential, and knowledge of other mill location languages is considered an asset. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Microsoft tools, with experience in SAP or a similar ERP system being beneficial. Additionally, you are flexible and willing to travel regularly, with 1-3 trips per month, including visits to Metsä Tissue's production mills in Finland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden to support operational and financial initiatives.
