Data Quality and Governance Specialist

At CoS, we are now strengthening our core data team with a data quality and governance specialist. In this role you will join our international data team, working with digital product development, analytics, AI and our new customer data platform (CDP). As a data quality and governance specialist, you will be looking at our data from a quality enhancement point of view, identifying opportunities and improvements to our overall data governance, structure, pipelines and delivery. You will also act as a bridge between users, business, development and power CoS towards a more data driven future in order to deliver better services for our customers.
You will report to the manager of data and customer offering and can be located at any of our main campuses in Stockholm, Oslo or Espoo.
About the role
Your responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, establish and enforce data quality standards.
- Create processes and procedures to improve the overall quality of our data.
- Develop data governance rules and best practices.
- Review and analyze data to identify areas of improvements and analyze data to find trends and anomalies.
- Propose and implement solutions to data quality problems.
- Monitor and optimize data accuracy and validity.
- Support data stewardship and data governance principles and practices.
- Implement a central master data perspective and ownership in Fortum Consumer Solutions.
About you
To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have:
- Bachelor's degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, or a similar field.
- 3+ years' experience working with data quality management.
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Azure, SQL skills appreciated.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar tools, and APIs/integrations.
- You are data savvy and can act cross functionally within CoS to deliver and scale best practice through collaboration and insights.
- Understanding of users and customer needs.
- Knowledge of best practices within data governance.
- Good understanding of the agile mindset and values.
