Electric Mobility Research Center (EMRC): Summer jobs 2025

The Electric Mobility Research Center (EMRC) offers summer jobs for three students in May-August 2025.

A summer trainee position as a junior research assistant in the university serves as an excellent foundation for roles such as a teaching assistant or for advancing into post-graduate studies. Furthermore, the EMRC maintains strong partnerships with industry, providing significant opportunities for networking. Experience gained from working in the university is highly valued by companies offering Master's thesis positions and often serves a stepping stone to initial employment after graduation.

We are seeking students with backgrounds or studies in electrical engineering, energy engineering, mathematics, data science, physics, logistics, social sciences, or business. Each of the three positions will focus on different aspects of electric mobility: technical, techno-business, and societal.

The duties involve various tasks in the research center, from data collection to assisting with research activities.

Examples of the duties:

  • data collection and conclusions from the collected data
  • data analyses
  • market analyses
  • software development
  • EMRC showroom development activities
  • event planning
  • other duties supporting the EMRC staff.

The duties and the salary of the junior research assistant are determined according to the applicant's credit points at the time of making the work contract (EUR 2145,30 - 2469,12 a month).

The selection is based on the applicant's success in studies: the grade point average and progress in studies (min. 55 credits/academic year) and the applicant's competence. In addition, third-year students and above must have completed their Bachelor's thesis before starting the summer job.
