Employee Communications Specialist

We are now looking for an Employee Communications Specilalist to join our passionate Corporate Communications team. 

Our team helps to drive Kemira's growth and secures the reputation of the company by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  

In this global role, based out of our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, you will plan and execute the global exmployee communications strategy and actions in close collaboration with global communications, business communications, Strategy & Sustainability, and People & Culture colleagues.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing towards the planning, and leading the execution of the annual employee engagement. 
  • Actively and creatively developing and maintaining the employee communications channels in Kemira. 
  • Planning and coordinating online and in-person employee events.
  • Working closely with (external) communications colleagues to create integrated communications campaigns. 
  • Working together with People & Culture colleagues and executive leadership in building the Kemira culture and employee engagement across the organization globally. 
  • Actively participating in issues and crisis management and any organizational change initiatives. 

What you'll bring to the team:  

  • You're an energetic and proactive collaborator, with the ability to influence others, and 'read' the organization. You're flexible and you deliver impact over volume, with a global mindset that respects diverse points of view. You're proactive, systematic and organized with a sense of urgency. 
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in PR, journalism, communications, or similar. 
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Note that Finnish is not required. 
  • 5 years of experience in similar roles in a global organization. 
  • Excellent writing, editing and content development skills. 
  • Experience with digital platforms such as intranets, internal mailing systems.
