We are seeking a simulation expert for the role of Expert, Structural Dynamics in the Structural Dynamics team.  As a member of the Structural dynamics team, your role is to perform demanding numerical analyses for product and technology development projects. This position is located in Vaasa, Finland or Trieste, Italy. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work. 

 

Your role and responsibilities:

 

As a Simulation expert, your work will include:

  • Performing demanding numerical analyses by using finite element method(FEM) as well as multi-body dynamics
  • Problem-solving related to structural strength
  • Data analyses for simulation and measurement data
  • Technical support to product and technology development projects

The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests.

 

Requirements for the position: 

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Engineering
  • Good theoretical knowledge of numerical calculation methods and tools, such as Abaqus, HyperMesh, Optistruct, AVL Excite or similar software
  • Communication skills in English
  • Basic programming skills (Python, Matlab, Java)
  • Ability to work in an international organisation

  • We appreciate experience with other numerical methods, such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), numerical noise analysis and multiphysics simulation
