Are you educated in forestry or environmental systems and want to contribute to developing forest sustainability data, analytics and reporting? We are now looking for a forest sustainability data and reporting lead. Doing what's right in the forest is key for the nature and the future!
Innovate for a better future. Every day.
Enhancing sustainability in forests and forestry is a key priority for Stora Enso. To reach our goal of becoming biodiversity positive, actions to develop sustainability in general and biodiversity specifically are now taken.
At this point we see a need to add to our team a person that already is, or wants to become, a forest sustainability data and reporting lead. We have during recent years developed increasingly ambitious practices with the aim to reach a leading position on sustainable and biodiversity positive forest management. Alongside we have developed some basic data flows to facilitate internal follow-up and decision making as well as for externally demonstrating our practices. To fulfill demands posed by the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive it is now time to step up further and make full use of our data generating capacity and analytical approach. We want to explore new ways of both generating and analyzing data fitted for internal daily decision making and for external purposes.
In this role you will be part of a team focused on providing decision support internally and transparency externally on Stora Enso's sustainability and biodiversity targets. You will be responsible for data coordination, leading sustainability data collection and consolidation processes in collaboration with responsible persons from operations in Finland, Sweden and Baltics. You will also cooperate closely with internal teams on digitalization of forestry and data services as well as externally with universities and research institutes.
Your location will be either Sweden, Finland or any of the Baltic countries. Hence, we welcome applicants independent of location as our team is spread across the countries for our forestry operations, and we have a well organized environment for hybrid working. Role requires willingness to travel. You will be working in Forest Division and report to Head of Forest Sustainability Analytics.
Who are we looking for?
We invite applicants with interest and skills in forests, forestry, sustainability, data and analytics. Your proficiency is based on a degree in forestry, computing, sustainability, or another relevant area. As a person you have strong skills in data and are a logical thinker. Any general knowledge of forest management and biodiversity is an important advantage. You are a good communicator with negotiation skills and communicate fluently in English. Swedish and Finnish language knowledge is an asset.
What we offer
By joining us, you will be part of our diverse working culture supporting you to explore new perspectives and develop professionally. You will contribute towards a more sustainable future for forests, combining wood supply with high ambitions for biodiversity. To keep you going safely, we support your physical and mental wellbeing.
