Introduction

 

We are seeking an HSE Specialist for Ab A. Häggblom Oy, which is part of the Metso company.

 

Safety of our people is priority, and we believe that zero incidents are possible. As HSE specialist you will support the organization in improving our working environment to be healthier, safer, and environmentally sustainable.In this position, you will report to HSEQ manager.

 

This position is mainly located in Kokkola (or Kalajoki), but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of HSEQ who are passionate about building safety and quality into our operations from the beginning. Our constant goal is ensuring safe, sustainable, dependable, quality products for our customers.

 

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as supervisors, site managers and safety representatives, as well as with external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers. Our team culture is all about customer in center and high ambition -always. The members in our team are located in Kokkola, Kalajoki and Luleå.

 



What you'll do

 

  • Support the organization with incident investigation, hazard identification, and planning the preventive actions
  • Advise on a range of HSE topics when needed, e.g., risk assessments, working at height, lifting operations, hazardous substances, noise, factory traffic, ergonomics
  • Prepare documentation, information, and communications as required
  • Support, coach, and train supervisors and other stakeholders around HSE
  • Track health, safety, and environment metrics and use the data to identify ideas for improvement
  • Take part as a team member, establishing and continually improving our HSE processes.

 



Who you are

 

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related studies
  • Previous HSE experience, especially experience in manufacturing operations, is appreciated.
  • Communicating fluently in Finnish and English, Swedish is considered an asset.
  • You have a positive can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work. You are a team player with good cooperation and communication skills.
