The School of Built Environment and Bioeconomy is searching for a
Lecturer/Researcher in the competence area of textile and material engineering
The position(s) is a-fixed term position (2-2,5 years), full-time or part-time, starting from the beginning of 2025 or as agreed.
We keep an open mind regarding your education, as long as you fulfil the qualification criteria set for lecturers/researchers and - in addition to textile and material engineering or business - have competences in one or more of the following themes: data-analytic skills in the development of textile materials, curriculum development skills in green and digital transformation, skills in developing sustainable business models and sales.
Description (emphasis on the competencies and experience depend on the person chosen)
- Research work in the project(s) related to sustainable nonwovens and/or upskilling and reskilling the textile and clothing workforce in green and digital skills
- Thesis supervision in English
- Teaching professional studies in English, in e.g.
- Bachelor's Degree Programme in Textile and Material Engineering
- Other courses of either Bioproduct engineering or joint courses for all TAMK students
- External funding project proposals
- Collaboration with companies and other stakeholders

- Teaching experience and knowledge of UAS education
- Fluent English

The qualification requirements for a Senior Lecturer at a university of applied sciences in Finland are in accordance with Decree 1129/2014, Section 17. In addition, a Senior Lecturer is also required to have 60 credits or 35 study weeks of pedagogical studies, according to TAMK's human resources regulations. (The pedagogical studies may be completed after being selected for the position.)
The terms of the position are defined in the collective agreement for private education sector of Finnish Education Employers (Sivista). The position includes a 6-month probation period.
