Nokia is seeking a talented Media and Analyst Relations Manager to join its largest business group, Mobile Networks, to support building sustainable leadership for the business through a unified communications program across our key media and industry analyst stakeholders globally. 5G networks are playing a pivotal role in shaping how people and businesses communicate around the world. This is a key role in helping to shape Nokia's leadership position in mobile networks.
As a Media and Analyst Relations Manager, you will join a truly global team and have broad visibility to industry hot topics and be at the forefront of new developments, working with senior management and our best experts. Working closely together with your colleagues focused on media and analyst relations, you will play a critical role in building a strong perception of Mobile Networks performance and technology leadership with our key industry analysts and media contacts globally. The most important responsibilities for the role include:
- Acting as a point of contact for media and analyst queries, crafting responses, and planning and executing engagement activities to keep stakeholders informed on new developments and driving up positive coverage and strengthening Nokia's brand positioning.
- Creating content, such as press releases, by-lines, opinion pieces, or statements for media use, closely collaborating with your communications colleagues and Mobile Networks subject matter experts.
- Supporting our spokespeople with training, briefings, messaging and hosting media/analyst engagements.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- PR agency or in-house communications experience required
- Track record in media relations
- Experience of the analyst firm landscape and ways of working
- Experience working with executive communication
- Strong writing and messaging skills
- Fluent English, Finnish a benefit
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Ability to create on-brand presentation slides
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for quality and detail
- Experience or understanding of social media risks and opportunities
- Basic understanding of telecommunications business and strategic hot topics
- Education: master/bachelor's degree in communications or other relevant field
- Team player: ability to work across global teams, sharing information and aligning on plans
As a member of MN Communications and President's Office, you'll be part of a team that consists of communications and operations professionals covering our diverse audience needs, and report to Noora Lindblad, Mobile Networks Chief of Staff and Head of Communications.
