Description of the position

You will be assigned responsibilities mainly in indirect procurement areas and categories according to the actual needs. Indirect procurement includes all service and products which support Orion's different business units and are not part of the products that we directly sell - it can also be summarized that Indirect Procurement encompasses all procurement except for the so called "direct" raw materials, packaging materials and finished products. We support the work of a broad range of internal stakeholders and collaborate with suppliers globally.

Your responsibilities may also include tasks from other teams within Supply Chain & Procurement organisation. In case feasible, your personal knowledge and preferences can guide the final definition of the tasks. The responsibilities will support the strategic sourcing tasks, like sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract lifecycle management. You will also get a chance to participate in different procurement development activities based on your previous experience and interest. In fulfilling the tasks you are expected to be in contact with both internal and external stakeholders. The location of the role can be in Espoo or Turku.

Description of the unit

Indirect Procurement is a part of the Supply Chain and Procurement department within Orion's Global Operations organization. Indirect Procurement consists of five different procurement categories, each lead by a Category Manager. We are a team of 15 centralized procurement professionals at this moment, working together with broad networks of sourcing managers within the stakeholder organizations. We are responsible for the strategic sourcing of Indirect services & goods, supplier management, risk management and category management within Orion Corporation in close cooperation with our internal stakeholders as well as our external partners. We work together with Orion's Purchasing Services team, responsible for the operative purchase to pay process.

Requirements

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and proactive person, who enjoys challenging goals and shows drive and determination towards fulfilling them together with his/her colleagues.

To succeed in this role we expect you to have:

  • Around 50% of your University studies completed, preferably including several courses in the field of procurement management, logistics or SCM
  • Former experience in sourcing and/or supply chain management is considered an asset
  • Teamwork skills
  • Fluency in oral and written Finnish and English
  • Knowledge of IT tools and previous experience in IT projects is an advantage
  • Eager to learn and share your knowledge
