We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Support Engineer who is passionate about advancing semiconductor technology and supporting our global customer base. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the acceptance and qualification of Beneq semiconductor ALD tools at customer sites, providing ongoing process support post-acceptance, and disseminating feedback from the field to internal stakeholders to support continuous product and service improvement.

The Process Support Engineer will be instrumental in deploying new processes to our customers to meet evolving requirements, qualify new applications, and serve as a critical interface between Beneq and the customer. This position also involves creating comprehensive and clear documentation to support these activities and enhance overall customer satisfaction and business performance

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert process support to both external customers and internal teams.
  • Support Process Support Engineers (PSEs) and Field Service Engineers (FSEs) in ALD tool acceptance and qualification tasks.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for process-related issues, complementing the Total Product Support function for both internal teams and customers.
  • Lead the acceptance and qualification of Beneq’s thin film processes at customer sites, with a requirement for frequent travel.
  • Manage the planning and scheduling of process acceptance and qualification activities at customer sites.
  • Gather and organize feedback on process performance and equipment operation from both internal and external sources.
  • Develop and document new processes to meet emerging requirements or qualify new applications, whether at customer sites or in the Beneq laboratory.
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge capture, retention, and transfer within the Semiconductor Process Development team and to Product and Sales teams through effective communication, documentation, and validated procedures.
  • Implement necessary fixes and process-product improvements based on feedback from end users, both internal and external.
  • Stay informed about product changes implemented by the service team in the field.
  • Conduct process training sessions and support the development of user documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product teams, Life Cycle Services, and Production to advocate for SPD/PSE feedback, using process and install base data to highlight areas to improve and drive organizational improvements.

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in process support within the Semiconductor Industry, including Wafer Fab experience.
  • Significant background in AL, preferred, or CVD/PVD.
  • Familiarity with the interplay of ALD hardware and process parameters is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative personality and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Motivated by solving challenges, finding innovative solutions, and possessing a "can do" mindset.
  • Proven experience in customer service.
