Production Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to oversee the profitable operations of our Rovaniemi factory. This role is crucial in driving strategic targets by ensuring our manufacturing capabilities and processes are continuously developed and optimized as well overseeing day-to-day operations.
Main Accountabilities
Manufacturing Capabilities Development: Maintain and enhance the manufacturing skills, processes, and tools at the Rovaniemi factory.
Target Achievement: Ensure short-, mid-, and long-term operational targets are met, contributing to the consistent development of the manufacturing site.
Capacity Development: Develop and adjust factory capacity through internal and external channels.
Team Leadership: Lead factory teams to ensure smooth operations, adjusting factory usage to meet workload demands effectively.
Main KPIs
Factory Productivity: Throughput per input.
Factory Capacity Usage: Production hours and value-added work.
Safety and Efficiency: Level of accidents, waste, and stoppages.
Team Development: Improvement of team members' leadership skills.
To succeed in this position, following key competencies are required:
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, evaluate, and develop a team of professionals.
Production Experience: Extensive experience in production processes, principles, and methods, particularly in a mass-production environment.
Process Development: Proven track record in leading process development, especially cross-functional processes.
Manufacturing Capabilities: Experience in developing manufacturing capabilities, including skills, processes, and tools/methods.
Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken Finnish and English
In addition, these are beneficial attributes:
Educational Background: Degree in Industrial, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various situations.
Additional Skills: Additional courses and competencies in manufacturing philosophies such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
