We are now seeking an R&D Manager to join Reactive Technologies and manage their measurement device development programs. This is a permanent position based in Oulu. The office is located in Technopolis Linnanmaa and the working model is hybrid. Responsibilities
As an R&D Manager at Reactive Technologies you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing hardware development Programs of Reactive’s measurement devices
- Create and manage schedules, budgets and QA.
- Report and communicate program status to stakeholders.
- Maintaining Devices roadmap (HW/SW features) aligned with the Product Management.
- Coordinating and controlling subcontractor design work (schematics, PCB, mechanical design).
- Managing approval and certification projects aligned with business roadmaps (RF, mechanics, electronics, type approvals).
- Managing ODM manufacturing projects and working closely with ODMs and suppliers on product development schedules, dependencies, and budgets.
- Planning and managing required Quality and Assurance activities.
- Managing logistics, demand forecasting, inventory control, supply chain management & cost optimisation.
- Managing laboratory facilities and device testing.
Qualifications
Most importantly, we expect you to have a strong HW/electrical engineering background on your career path and a solid track record in project management. You should be organised, detail oriented, and proactive, and be used to working in an international environment.
An ideal candidate would fill the following qualifications:
- Proven track record on HW project management.
- Strong experience in the field of measurement technology.
- Strong technical background in electrical engineering: ability to contribute to design work, ability to review hardware (PCB/schematics) including digital and analogue circuit designs.
- Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering builds down to the small details.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production testing.
- Basic understanding of embedded software, protocols and buses, RTOS, and microprocessors’ relations to HW design.
- Experience of mechanical engineering, manufacturing and certification processes.
- Proactive and highly self-motivated: demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in both Finnish and English.
