Regional Sales Manager

Within our division SSAB Europe, we are now looking for a strategic, technical skilled Regional Sales Manager for our sales team in Italy. Your main responsibility will be to develop sales and growth plans towards our existing and new customers in the central and south part of Italy (from Emilia Romagna towards south Italy).

As Regional Sales Manager in Italy, you are playing an important role in developing and building the SSAB Europe market and strategy. You will train our customers with your technical competence and will offer support in order to build customer value and profitability.

About the position

As Regional Sales Manager within the sales function, you have the responsibility to develop the sales of the wide range of steel grades for industrial applications, with particular focus on our Premium brands as SSAB Boron, SSAB Laser, SSAB Weathering, SSAB Form, SSAB Domex, SSAB Docol. It includes developing new customers, segments and applications as well as upgrading existing and new customers to more advanced materials. You will drive the development of local sales towards our customers.

To succeed in the role, you will participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach. It feels natural to work according to SSAB's short and long-term strategic goals.
You will work mainly remotely from your home office, but this position requires you to travel several days a week.

Main responsibilities

Develop strategic goals for the area, secure yearly sales and marketing target
Participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach, it feels natural to work according to SSAB's short and long-term strategic goals
You will independently set up sales representations, contracts, proposals and negotiate offers, prices and other terms
Document your key activities in our customer relationship management system Salesforce. Usually you have several customer meetings per week and then do a follow-up, together with reporting and planning

About You

To succeed in this role you have a few years of experience within the business and you are now looking for the next step in your career - curious to learn more and to develop
You have preferably graduated with a degree in business administration, economics or engineering from a University, or college/higher education institution
Professional working skills in Italian and English are required and you have to be resident in the Emilia Romagna region
To succeed in this role you have a proactive approach to new business opportunities and continued improvements, and you truly enjoy creating partnerships with internal & external customers
We expect you to have sales profile but with good understanding of technical value, a strong drive to work in the steel business and a genuine interest to learn more about steel making, properties and user benefits
