1.The job
Are you an enthusiastic professional in the field of administration looking to join a multinational and goal-oriented team? We invite applications for the position of Regulatory Assistant. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for regulatory, administrative, and coordination tasks related to the implementation of chemicals legislation under ECHA's current remit, as well as potential future tasks of ECHA.
2.Key responsibilities
The Regulatory Assistant will be responsible for the following types of work:
Verifying administrative, regulatory and scientific data against predefined criteria, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulatory provisions and legal deadlines.
Contributing to a range of regulatory tasks related to the processing of dossiers submitted by industry and authorities, including support to the development of opinions by ECHA's scientific committees, namely the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) and the Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC).
Contributing to the data management and dissemination of information on chemicals, while ensuring the protection of confidential information.
Contributing to the setting up of new processes and proactively proposing measures to enhance the efficiency and consistency of existing processes, while ensuring compliance with the established quality management system and regulatory requirements. Assessing the impact of regulatory developments on assigned processes, including their effects on related IT tools, process instructions, stakeholders, and other aspects.
Drafting communications, formal decisions, technical instructions, and guidance documents. Responding to helpdesk tickets from external stakeholders and proactively reaching out to support them in their tasks.
Contributing to forecasting, planning and reporting activities related to assigned processes.
Engaging in projects, including planning, priority setting, progress monitoring, and other related activities, as well as overseeing and facilitating the activities of working groups and expert groups.
Supporting contract management activities, such as drafting technical specifications, participating in procurement procedures, managing contracts and verifying deliverables.
Supporting the product management of IT tools relevant to assigned processes by collaborating with the product team, specifying and prioritising business requirements, testing, and contributing to the roll-out phase.
Any other duties as required.
3.Minimum qualifications
a)Successful completion of post-secondary level education attested by a diploma.
Or
b) Successful completion of secondary education giving access to post-secondary education and professional experience of at least three (3) years.
Only qualifications issued by EU Member State authorities or EEA authorities and qualifications recognised as equivalent by the relevant EU or EEA Member State authorities will be accepted.
4.Professional experience
To qualify for this profile, you must have at the closing date for applications a total professional experience of at least one (1) year acquired after achieving the minimum requirements stated out in section 3 of this vacancy notice.
5.Selection criteria
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be assessed on the basis of the following selection criteria:
Your academic and professional qualifications and their relevance to the main areas of work listed in section 3.
Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a full course of university studies, attested by a degree, with the minimum duration of three (3) years.
Your professional experience: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in functions similar to those outlined in section 3. The Selection Committee will assess the range of fields covered, the type, and level of work done and its relevance to the areas of work listed in section 3.
The following will be considered as assets:
Work experience with at least one piece of legislation under ECHA's current or future mandate.
Practical work experience with the regulatory IT tools used for the preparation and submission of chemical information (e.g. IUCLID 6, REACH-IT, R4BP 3).
Work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment. Preference will be given to work experience abroad.
Your academic and professional qualifications, professional experience and knowledge and experience considered as an asset must be described as precisely as possible in your application.
