Do you have an interest in troubleshooting and analysing the performance of four-stroke engines? Then this job may be for you. We are now looking for a Remote Diagnostics Expert, Four-Stroke Engines to join our team.
We are a team of more than 20 experts who follow the condition of Wärtsilä four-stroke engines. We utilize the digital tool "Expert Insight", which highlights deviations from the expected behaviour of the engine type. Data from engine sensors come from the field via an internet connection and the digital tool uses both artificial intelligence and rules set up by engine experts. The engines we monitor are primarily on ships under maintenance agreements where there is a dedicated team of Wärtsilä experts delivering services for the customer. We send regular notifications and monthly reports to customers, thereby proactively maintaining the engines in good condition.
We are now looking for reinforcement in our offices in Singapore, and other possible location is Finland (Vaasa or Turku). Your background can be in marine operation (chief engineer etc), automotive engineering, engine field service, R&D, engine manufacturing or similar. Understanding the correlation between various engine operational parameters is essential to be successful in this role. Our experts should be comfortable advising customers about four-stroke engines when sensor data is noticed to be deviating.
