SAP Archiving Consultant

We are expanding our team and looking for a skilled SAP Archiving Consultant to join our fun-loving bunch!

What is the job like, really?

You'll work with a team of experts in complex customer projects (e.g. roll-out and support) and get to dive deep with your SAP Archiving expertise in various development and maintenance tasks. Our SAP customer portfolio is broad and diverse so there's no need to worry about getting stuck or bored. Our projects can be demanding, but you'll be able to handle that together with your future teammates as they are at the top of their game. You'll join a large and skillful crowd of SAP experts (over 150), but you'll also work extensively with the entire Vincit ecosystem - which means you'll get to bounce ideas and develop your own expertise with great minds.

Here's a snapshot of your key responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, conducting testing, configuring archiving definitions at the object level, and deploying SAP-enabled archiving objects. You will create policies and audit areas and rules as per the retention schedule. Additionally, you will utilize SAP Business Document Flow knowledge, analyze business document integrity, determine the order and scope of data to be archived at the document level, and define performance optimization.

Our customer base and the scope of our projects are wide, from small start-ups to globally large enterprises, and from legacy-type maintenance to advanced projects in generative AI. You can find examples of our work on our customers page.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking someone who possesses hands-on experience developing SAP Archiving solutions and enjoys sharing their knowledge and solving problems. You should have a solid understanding of consultancy principles and be interested in mentoring others. We don't expect you to be a unicorn, but the more you know about the following, the better:

Several years of experience with SAP Data Archiving and defining Data Archiving strategies

SAP Business Document Flow knowledge

Object-specific SARA settings

Understanding the role of development/test/production environments in archiving

Role-based understanding of which documents have access rights

Batch job management

Experience in SAP Information Lifecycle Management Implementation projects or ILM certification

Understanding of GOS and OAC for how attachments are archived

Excellent communication skills in English, proficiency in Finnish is seen as an advantage
