As a Cloud IP Network DevOps Engineer…
You will continue to evolve our network cloud platform and do this by using the latest technologies in this area. You'll be part of the Connectivity & Delivery Team, responsible for building Cloud infrastructure and providing connectivity to our customers in Telia's Network Cloud footprint in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. Our team works with the HW/SW components of the cloud stack including IP connectivity to the tenant applications. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to grow and contribute to our softwarization journey.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Telia's cloud-based IP network solutions. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced network solutions, drive automation initiatives, and optimize operations.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional with a strong background in IP networking and cloud environments. You are forward-thinking and adaptable, with a passion for continuous improvement and collaboration in a DevOps setting.
You bring extensive experience with IP network solutions, including routing and switching, and a solid understanding of private cloud technologies (VMware) and processes. Your hands-on expertise with utilizing Infrastructure as Code to automate operations (IaC/config mgmt tools (Ansible, Terraform), APIs (REST API, gRPC), CICD tools (Jenkins), Version control (Git, Github), containerization (Docker, Podman). Additionally, you are proficient in scripting languages and programming languages such as Python or Bash and Sys administration (RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu). Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HHTP/HTTPS, SSL, BGP, MPLS) and VPN technologies, as well as an understanding of network security principles (FW, ACL), is also important. Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker would be a valuable asset. CCIE or at least CCNP certified ideally in Service Provider track or Routing & Switching / Enterprise. Relevant knowledge/experience is also a qualifier. Fluent English in both speaking and writing is necessary.
