We are looking for an experienced
Senior QA Engineer
to work in Ponsse Technology, R&D team in Finland.

In this position you will play a essential role in ensuring the quality of the control systems SW and HW by developing and maintaining test process and infrastructure with the team members. You will be planning and executing a forest machine control systems quality assurance process, such as: Control systems SW and HW, functional and environmental testing of control systems, test automation devices and functionality, system level test implementation and testing simulator environment development as well.
As a Product owner for quality assurance related team, you will manage backlog, prioritize tasks, and write descriptions for backlog items. You will ensure that scrum team understands targets and organize sprint planning and refinements. Additionally, you will follow and create quality assurance metrics against set KPI's and evaluate quality and technical readiness of the implementation according to set requirements. You will work in an Agile environment and continuously refine priorities, define milestones and deliverables. You will work and communicate with stakeholders and customers across the organization according to Ponsse values.
Required qualifications in this role:
- A Bachelors`s or Master's degree in automation, software engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in simulator and test automation roles, preferable in field of non-road mobile machines
- Relevant experience in Senior Engineering role.
- Well established understanding of SW and HW Quality Assurance in terms of technology and solutions.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle process
- Although this is not supervisor position, strong leadership and management skills are essential - ability to motivate scrum teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written in English and Finnish
As a person, you can lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, as well as troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively. You are proactive, technically skilled and take initiative. You also have strong problem-solving skills to solve problems and work in a diverse team and see solutions rather than problems.

You will be part of the Ponsse's Technology, R&D team, reporting to Engineering Manager, Simulation and Verification.
Your working location will be in Finland Kajaani, Tampere, Kuopio or Vieremä, but we are working hybrid model. Some amount of travelling will be required in this role.
