Software Developer - Autonomous Equipment

Business Unit Automation is the home of AutoMine® - the world leading solution for autonomous mining. We are a global organization and developing fully automated and robotic mining technologies for mobile machinery.   

We are now looking for Software Developer, Autonomous Equipment for AutoMine® R&D team to support our current and growing business in the field of digital mining products. This position is permanent and based in Tampere, Finland.

About your mission

You will join our Automine® R&D team focusing on work related to autonomous machines remote application for command and control. As a Software Developer your main responsibilities will be:

  • Write/modify specifications, join SW release planning, run daily activities, innovate new design solutions.

  • Write/fix code and join as an active team player on daily meetings and SW development work.

  • Provide hands on expert level assistance for technical issues for front line experts and specialists.

  • Work closely interaction with testing activities and development.

  • Communicate system design and developed solution to internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in automation/software engineering or similar. You have experience for working and supporting SW developers and strong background in C# / WPF / .Net. and you have knowledge/experience about REST/WebSocket/gRPC. Your previous experience from autonomous equipment’s or machine control systems SW work is seen as a great benefit as well as a knowledge of OPCDA protocol. You are motivated active team player, and your way of working is systematic, and you have passion to get things done in time and quality. The job requires excellent written and verbal skills in English. The position requires travelling rarely.
