Are you a hands-on software engineer with a passion for turning great ideas into reality?
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Vantaa. In this role, you will maintain and develop MS Windows applications that integrate our advanced valve controllers with customers' plant control systems. You will work on system interfaces, understand user needs, and develop both graphical user interfaces and backend functionality. You will also explore fieldbus communication and contribute to automated testing. Depending on your background, there may be opportunities to work with embedded software as well.
You can be at the beginning of your career or an experienced software developer. We expect you to know Windows-based systems and to have a strong background in software development, preferably with a suitable degree
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop graphical user interfaces and underlying functionality.

Work with system interfaces to integrate field devices with control systems.

Explore and implement fieldbus communication protocols, including HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and contemporary Ethernet-based protocols.

Potentially contribute to embedded software development.

The position can be located in Vantaa or Tampere.
Experience with any of the following is an asset:

FDT (Field Device Tool) technology, with FDT 2.0 (.NET/ActiveX based) and FDT 3.0 (HTML/JavaScript web-based) platforms.

Understanding of control systems and automation.

Knowledge of Python for scripting.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Proficiency in C#, C++, and the .NET framework.
- Familiarity with Windows-based systems and software development.
- Experience with contemporary HTML, JavaScript, and web-based application development.
- Willingness to work with production legacy projects using COM and Visual Basic.
- Strong analytical skills and initiative to drive innovation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and able to work in a Finnish-speaking environment.
