Sourcing Manager, Development and Category Management
to join our international Finnish family-owned company. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive procurement excellence while contributing to our sustainable growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing commercial procurement categories, covering both direct and indirect materials and services. This includes overseeing specific categories, such as materials used in our production, parts and components, production consumables or subcontracting, although the exact focus will be discussed during the recruitment process.
You will also play a key role in procurement development. This involves e.g. conducting analytics and enhancing procurement processes and risk management. You'll act as a developer and main user for procurement tools, providing training and support to various teams and group functions. Additionally, you will handle planning and reporting tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Another important aspect of the role is driving sustainability within procurement and integrating sustainability into the supply chain operations. Your work will contribute to developing transparency and sustainability in our supply chains as well as ESG and CSRD reporting, ensuring that sustainability goals are met across the organization. You will also develop sustainability initiatives in collaboration with our suppliers.
Quality management is a significant focus area of this role as well. You will manage supplier relationships through the "know your partner" process and maintain risk management tools for the supply chain. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing supplier audits and collaborating closely with suppliers to enhance quality assurance and development processes.
Finally, you will work closely with various internal stakeholders within Lumon Group globally, including supply chain, quality and R&D, sustainability and finance as well as other users of the procured materials and services. This collaboration ensures that the procurement strategy aligns with overall business objectives and supports the needs of all departments effectively.
In this position you will report to Procurement Director and your home office is located in Kouvola or Vantaa, with flexible hybrid workmodel.
What We're Looking For
- MSc or BSc degree in engineering, economics, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
- Preferably few years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement and supply chain management tools and processes
- High capabilities and motivation in leading change, project management, negotiating and influencing as well as will for collaboration with our partners and stakeholders
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and drive for result
- A team player with willingness to take initiative and adapt to evolving roles and tasks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a global, multi-site environment with strong language skills in Finnish and English
