We are now looking for a
Specialist (International Partnerships)
for a fixed-term position until 31.12.2028.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the development and delivery of the University of Oulu's internationalisation ambitions, global collaborations and impact as part of the International Affairs team in the Strategy and Science Policy unit.
About the job
In this role, you will support the coordination and development of university-wide academic partnerships and networks in strategically important regions of the world, as well as the development and implementation of internal operating models and culture for responsible international co-operation. You will work closely with university management, international partners and internal colleagues to promote the internationalisation of the university. This role will include a wide range of responsibilities, such as:
- Supporting and coordinating the development of strategic partnerships and monitoring the delivery of agreed activities
- Coordinating internal funding schemes in support of strategic partnership development
- Providing support and advice for faculties and university management in the delivery and development of partnerships (e.g. market/sector intelligence, reports and briefing materials, dissemination of information)
- Coordinating and implementing university-level international visits and developing visit processes and practices (particularly outbound)
- Supporting the development and dissemination of risk management processes and guidelines
- Supporting the management of the university's membership networks (e.g. Scholars at Risk, Fulbright, UniPID)

Who are you?
In order to succeed in and enjoy your job, we expect you to have:
- a Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- professional experience in international co-operation in higher education
- excellent verbal and written English skills
- excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- excellent presentation and multicultural communication skills, including diplomacy
- ability to network effectively and create a culture of collaboration
- excellent IT skills and the ability to work with large datasets
In addition, we value:
- experience in international partnership and network management
- strong service attitude and service development experience
- self-initiative, flexibility and the ability to learn new things and develop professionally
- satisfactory Finnish language skills
- knowledge of other language(s)
Salary
The position is fixed term starting as soon as possible until 31.12.2028.
The salary will be based on the level 10 of the demand level chart for other expert and support staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). Starting gross salary will be approx. 4100-4400 EUR per month (before taxes). The position is subject to a 6-month trial period.
