Join Valmet IT as a Summer Trainee in 2025 and gain hands-on experience in our dynamic IT department. We offer a variety of roles tailored to your interests and skills:
In the IT Service Management Office, you will engage in tasks such as CMDB audit and data maintenance, documentation housekeeping, vendor management reporting, process documentation updates, service reporting, and problem and change management.
As part of IT Procurement and Sourcing, you will handle device and license procurement, order processing and user support, contract management, supplier data maintenance, service monitoring and invoices, competitive bidding, and user manual creation. For IT Support and Systems, you will provide workstation services and Microsoft 365 support, user communication and problem solving, and IT service monitoring and incident management.
In Information Security and Cybersecurity Management, you will assist with security controls and practices in line with ISO27001 and NIS2, and work on OT security solutions and vulnerability management.
In Lifecycle Services, you will manage product lifecycle data, configure Power BI, and handle database management. As part of the Global ERP Transformation Project, you will conduct pulse surveys and analysis, and assist with cloud project testing and training.
We have these summer jobs available in our locations in Jyväskylä, Tampere, Raisio and Vantaa.
What do we expect from you?
We expect excellent written and spoken English skills. You should have organized way of working and attention to details as well as problem-solving skills. An understanding of IT systems and service management is essential.
Additionally, you should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
You are passionate about learning new skills and you are willing to share your fresh ideas with us. Your flexibility to do a variety of work assignments is often needed.
