Summer Trainee, Design and Documentation Engineer

We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Design and Documentation Engineer join Normet Service Design Engineer team in Iisalmi Service Center, on 1st of May - 31st of August 2025.  

The team is responsible of providing solutions for used Normet equipment's to add example new features or applications to used machines. Those solutions are called Upgrades and Modifications (U&M). Team also supports machines repairs on Service Center. 

In this position, you will participate in mechanical or electrical design and development of our products (U&M, used equipment remanufacturing and repair) and part of this are documentation updates. The final job content will be adjusted according to your skills and interests. 

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

• Design new U&M products 

• Possible documentation updated 

• Support our production in Service Center Finland 

• Support Normet colleagues globally in the Service product related topics 

• Updating product information's 

• Find solutions for existing design to be installed used Normet equipment's 

To shine in this position, we hope you to have:   

• Studies in engineering bachelor's degree (mechanical or elecrical), as trainee position you can be just started your studies 

• Good communication skills in Finnish and English both written and spoken 

• Good organizational skills 

• Ability to adapt, prioritize and focus in quickly changing situations 

• Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering and 3D design 

• Have the right attitude to work with a global network of people with different personalities and cultural backgrounds 

• A can-do and results-driven attitude 

• Creativity, analytical skills and technical writing skills 

• Know how to use MS Office tools, knowledg on how to use Sovelia (PLM), Autodesk Inventor, Zuken E3 is seen as an advantage
