We are looking for an Automation Trainee to join our Product Technical Support, Automation team in Beneficiation, Dewatering, and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) BL in Services BA. In this position, you will work with the team that provides global technical support for Metso Courier and PSI analyzers and sampling products.
The primary location for this position is Espoo (Finland)
As a Summer Trainee - Product Technical Support, Automation, you will:
- Collaborate with global product tech support team automation members and Metso process analyzer specialists worldwide, including Courier elemental and PSI particle size analyzer experts.
- Assist in resolving daily real-life technical support issues and creating technical instructions.
- Develop and organize technical support documentation for analyzers.
- Participate in the implementation and testing of an AI chatbot for technical support.
- Work hands-on with real analyzers in the Espoo office's analyzer training lab.
Who You Are
- Pursuing a higher degree in fields such as Automation, IT, or Software.
- Customer-focused and innovative, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of automation, pc controllers/software, or electronics is an asset.
- Interest or experience in developing AI implementations with MS 365 Copilot/GPT-4 is an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; about 50% of colleagues also speak Finnish.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
