We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Pulp Maritime Logistics to our head office, the Biofore House, in Helsinki or Pulp Supply Chain Center in Kymi pulp mill, Kouvola.

Welcome to the pulp maritime logistics team. We take care of the maritime transports of pulp from our Finnish mills to customers all over the world and have an important role in the Pulp business and in ensuring customer satisfaction. What you will do

  • Plan and execute maritime logistics of pulp from our Finnish Pulp mills to global markets as break bulk and in containers in cooperation with Sales, Supply chain, our contract carriers and port operators
  • Guarantee high logistics service level and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure undisturbed transportation flows with contract carriers
  • Process transport orders in SAP Transportation Management system
  • Verification of logistics invoices
  • Cargo claim management together with carriers and UPM Cargo Care department

Who you are

We are looking for students majoring in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or comparable subjects who have already advanced a bit in their studies. We appreciate a positive and energetic attitude, as well as taking initiative and responsibility. In addition:

  • You have relevant education or work experience in the area of logistics / supply chain
  • Experience in SAP Transport Management and Power BI reporting tool is a benefit
  • You have customer and service oriented mindset and flexibility
  • You have independent and structured way of working, high level of proactivity and personal initiative
  • You have excellent problem solving skills and strong determination
  • You have very good team-working ability
  • You have effective communication skills (spoken and written)
  • You are fluent in English, other language skills are considered as an asset
