We are now looking for a Research Trainee, Chemical Pulp Products to our North Europe Research Center in Lappeenranta.

Our summer trainee will be able to build on their knowledge in pulp and fibre technology and chemistry and learn about tasks related to pulp technical customer service. During the summer you will learn a lot in our positive and encouraging work environment and get to apply what you have already learned in your studies. What you will do  

  • Participate in technical customer service related issues dealing with pulp property investigations
  • Planning, co-ordinating and performing pilot and/or laboratory work related to chemical pulp treatments
  • Work together with laboratory and piloting facility professional learning to perform various trials and analyses
  • Learn about important process properties affecting various pulp properties and their effect on the customers processes
  • Build on current reporting skills

Who you are 

We are looking for students with focus on biomaterials and processes, preferable pulp and paper who have already advanced a bit in their studies. We appreciate a positive and energetic attitude, as well as taking initiative and responsibility. In our work environment you will need good English skills (both written and spoken) and at least basic Finnish language skills are preferred. Other language skills are considered as an asset.
