We are seeking summer trainees to join our Aggregates digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing user experience of our digital solutions that make our machines and services easy to buy, operate and own. In this position, you will report to Jaakko Palokangas, Director, Digital Technology Development.
As a Summer Trainee - UX/UI Designer in Tampere, you will:
- Participate in the design process of new ideas and innovations for digital solutions
- Support the ongoing development projects with user research, validation, and user interface design
- Design user interfaces, layouts and complete user experiences based on Metso Design System, utilizing tools like Figma, Miro and Adobe CC
- Contribute to the Design System by refining or designing new components needed

- Background and relevant studies in user experience and user interface design
- Hands-on attitude and skills needed in user interface design and validation
- Self-organized and capable of working autonomously
- Communicative and collaborative
- Not being afraid of asking (and receiving) support from colleagues whenever needed

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
