Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a System Development Specialist, configurators and SAP manufacturing at ABB Oy, Motion Service, in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.
As our new System Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical and business process/data expertise. Moreover, you will stay up to date on emerging technologies to support on-going operations and development of our new systems using in-depth knowledge in variant configuration and SAP manufacturing (production planning module) areas. Additionally, you will have a chance to work with various interesting projects and influence how our processes are built and developed. You will have a great opportunity to participate building our new S/4HANA and Windchill systems with our new processes.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #Li-Hybrid
This position reports to System Development Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Configurable product master data creation and maintenance in SAP Variant Configuration and other related configurator tools
- Acting as SAP subject matter expert in Production Planning module
- Creating functional specifications, documents, and requirements
- Collaborating with process owners, product managers, SAP key users and consultants to make sure that developments are executed according to our release schedule
- Participating in system testing and ensuring that new features can be successfully operated
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and developments, including changes in business processes

Qualifications for the role:
- Possessing a few years of relevant work experience with proven skills in SAP production planning and/or configuration tools
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in SAP manufacturing and variant configuration functionalities, knowing standard SAP configuration for production planning module
- Possessing understanding of product configurator tools is relevant
- Ability to demonstrate your knowledge of service business and configurable product and manufacturing processes is essential
- Good collaboration and communication skills and ability to prioritize own work is essential
- You are at ease communicating in English, written and spoken. Finnish skills are seen beneficial
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering/technology or business)
- Experience in S/4HANA and/or Windchill product lifecycle management is an asset
