We’re looking for a Tactical Purchaser to work in our Regional Procurement team

We are seeking motivated professional to join the Procurement team preferably in our headquarter at Nokia responsible for both strategic and operational Procurement tasks in indirect categories. The work split between the operational and strategic purchasing tasks are estimated to be 50/50 initially. 

As a Tactical Purchaser, you will be executing regional sourcing activities, including RFx and contracting. In addition, job includes operational purchasing activities such as purchase orders and invoice error handling.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate to development and implementation of category strategy
• Lead and execute medium or small scale sourcing activities, development projects and supplier development initiatives as well as continuous improvements to ensure availability, optimized TCO and other set targets.
• Negotiate regional contracts 
• Analyse the supply market including relevant indexes, create internal analysis and category reports.
• Manage purchase to pay process in nominated categories including activities such as:
  • Purchase order management 
  • Delivery control 
  • Catalogue management 
  • Claim handling 
  • Invoice error handling

What we expect from you:

• At least 1-3 years of procurement related experience in global environment 
• M.Sc. or B. Sc. degree in relevant field (Commercial or Technical)
• Knowledge of procurement processes, tools, and methods
• Negotiation and contractual skills
• Co-operation skills in matrix organization and with internal stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and capability to handle multiple priorities while delivering results
• Strong analytical skills 
• Fluent English andFinnish language 
• Technical background is considered as an asset 
• Ability to travel

Please note that prerequisite of the employment is that the selected employee has a valid residence and work permit in Finland.
