As our trainee, we want you to be a solid part of our team from the very beginning. You will work as a full-time member of our experienced teams and gain practical and hands-on work experience during your trainee program. As a trainee, your responsibilities will depend on your background, capabilities, and own preferences.
We hope you have an analytical mindset, ability to learn quickly, and courage to transform data into conclusions to support our processes and decision-making. You should be comfortable and efficient in communicating and collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
Takeoff is a unique opportunity to learn more about the aviation industry and Finnair's organisation as a whole. We want you to make the most of your trainee period at Finnair, so in addition to your daily work, you'll have a chance to get familiar with our different business units, explore the industry from various perspectives and get to know our people across the organization. And as the cherry on top, you can support each other and share your experiences with your fellow trainees during the program.
This is a paid full-time trainee program lasting from 4 to 6 months, starting flexibly in March-May 2025. Previously, some trainees have continued to work with us part-time, permanently, or as Master's Thesis workers. The trainees work in different teams around the Finnair campus near Helsinki Airport or in a hybrid model combining in-office and remote work.
Our expectations:

Currently pursuing or has completed an academic degree within the field of Business, Economics, Technology, or relevant area (typically, our trainees are at least 3rd year students)

Solid academic performance

Strong communication skills in English (in some positions fluency in Finnish is required)

An analytical approach to problem-solving and digital savviness

Great team player with a positive mindset

Hands-on doer, self-starter, and a dedicated problem solver
