We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader for Advanced Process Control (APC)  to join our Asset Technology department. In this role, you will ensure that our base of installed APC and Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications maintain high availability and continuously contribute to asset profitability. You will drive continuous improvement of these applications to further enhance asset profitability, coach and develop your team, ensure planning and resources for Borealis APC projects, collaborate with various stakeholders, and promote APC and digitalization within Borealis.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Team Management: Provide strong coaching leadership, manage short- and mid-term resource planning, develop team competencies, and ensure professional delivery.
  • Collaboration: Drive the ideation process to implementation and business value generation, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment with Borealis operations.
  • Partnerships: Manage required partnerships and collaborations for successful APC support.
  • Business Cases: Drive development and follow-up of APC & RTO business cases.
  • User Engagement: Contribute to high end-user engagement and adaptation of APC.

 

You will be part of a global team in Asset Technology - the powerhouse of applied Technology in the JV & Growth business group.

About you

If you possess the following competences, skills, and attitudes, you can excel in this exciting role. 

  • Education: Master's degree in technology, science, or similar by acquired experience. Strong technology understanding of both chemical processes and process control
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead high-performance teams.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Flexible with a fit-for-purpose mindset. Fluent in verbal and written English. Effective in international and multicultural teams. Skilled in developing and maintaining good professional and personal relations and networks.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel on global basis is required.
