Mainly your work areas will be

Manage the stores in the agreed region, according to the New Yorker concept

Responsibility for sales, turnover and inventory

Responsibility for recruitment, employment and personnel planning

Follow-up of business financial key figures

Planning and optimization of costs and sales activities

Lead, coach and motivate the team, in your case primarily store managers.

Training and continuous development of subordinate managers and employees

Environmental monitoring and marketing activities

Collaboration with other departments in a team-oriented New Yorker

Plan and implement new openings together with the sales manager and the team

Continuous travel and visits to the stores in your region

Your profile

At least 3 years of experience in the position of area manager, assistant area manager or similar in retail industry

Experience in sales management, financial responsibility, personnel administration and sales administration

High school education or higher education

Business-oriented with a focus on costs and profitability

Structured, organized and likes to think strategically and long-term

Team-oriented, committed and coaches your employees

Communicative, clear and responsive

Passion for fashion and preferably experience from the fashion industry

Self-motivated with organizational skills

Good knowledge of Finnish and English, knowledge of German is an advantage

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, mainly Excel and preferably experience with Cognos or other software to follow up turnover and key figures

Willingness to travel abroad for a 2 month training period with occasional returns home during weekend

Working hours/Duration: Full-time, fixed-term contract from September 2024 until September 2025 with the possibility to a permanent employment as an area manager after the fixed-term contract.
