Azure Data Engineer

What You'll Do:

Develop, deploy and maintain data solutions on Outokumpu Global Data Platform, an enterprise-level data platform to provide common data availability for reporting, applicational and analytical use cases.
Work mostly with structured data including financial data, manufacturing data, procurement data, sales & marketing data, R&D data and supply chain management data, and some image & IoT data.
Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure, including Databricks Lakehouse, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Ensure security best practices and compliance across the Azure architecture.
Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data strategies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Stay current with the latest developments in Azure technologies and best practices.

Your Profile:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure data engineering and Databricks Lakehouse.
Advanced programming skills in Databricks.
Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Familiar with networking, security, identity management and serverless computing in Azure.
Familiar with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good experience in streaming analytics, IoT analytics or SAP Data technology is a plus.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
