Business-Oriented Solution Architect (Commerce)

What is the job like, really?

As a Solution Architect, you'll work in versatile digital commerce projects from sales phase to delivery. You not only know how to describe our clients' problems in terms of business but also how to turn them into architectural design and technical solutions end-to-end.

You usually work with few cases simultaneously and are involved in different stages in the project lifecycle from sales and discovery to architectural design to go-live and later phases. You have the capability to understand system landscapes and how to create end-to-end flows that support customers' business processes and targets.

You'll be helping mainly our Top200 enterprise customers with their different commerce needs. Our offering consists of advisory, customer engagement solutions (sales, marketing and customer service), channels (ecommerce, mobile and web solutions) product and customer data solution and how to tie all of these together. 

You'll work with a team of experts in complex customer cases and get to dive deep with your expertise. You enable developers to craft the needed services through architectural design. You also participate yourself in the technical implementation from time to time.

Key responsibilities:

☘️ Business Development: Drive business growth through sales, early exploration, and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.

☘️ Solution Design: Design architecture and end-to-end solutions in close cooperation with your colleagues and the customer. Plan integrations, define roles of the core systems and design information architecture.

☘️ Leadership: Take on the role of architecture/technical lead and be responsible for the planning and execution of modern architecture.

☘️ Continuous Learning: Keep you and your colleagues up-to-date with the latest news in relevant technologies.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a experienced professional who combines strong technical and business skills, with a keen understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions. We value an approach to consulting that includes a can-do attitude, confidence, and strong agile teamwork skills to make a significant impact on our clients' projects. We don't expect you to be a unicorn, but the more you know about the following, the better:

 Proven experience with eCommerce platforms, including a strong understanding of business processes and core Commerce solutions and systems (e.g., ECOM, ERP, PIM, OMS, CRM, CDP)

 Knowledge in technical development in various contexts. Especially experience with tools such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce, and Spryker is beneficial but not mandatory

Strong business development skills, including the ability to identify opportunities, drive growth, and develop strategic solutions that align with business objectives

 Proven experience in Architect role on projects covering the lifecycle from sales and early exploration, work estimation, technical architecture design, full-stack development and successful go-lives

 Fluency in English and Finnish
