Chief Engineer, mechanical or process engineer

If yes, you might be the person we are looking for!We are looking for a Marine Chief Engineer to strengthen our marine engineering team in Turku. Engineering team has the overall technical responsibility of the mechanical and electrical design for ships. In this position, you will work in close co-operation with our clients and end users. Depending on your background you will focus either on machinery or process design. This position is new and requires open attitude to create new business.Responsibilities:
Technical design responsibility of ship machinery systems or processes
To guide and supervise performance of other engineers

Assisting in sales & recruitment & creating new business models

Continuous improvement, development of design systems and methods

Support and work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cost competitiveness, on time delivery, and quality of the designs.
Your background can be for example M.SC. or B.Sc in mechanical or process engineering or other relevant engineering field. You have good knowledge and design experience of ship machinery, process equipment as well as creating P&IDs. You have experience in 3D design and project engineering and you have ability to perform process equipment dimensioning. You have ability to see the big picture and make the system work as a whole. You are proactive, well organized, and outgoing team player with interest to sales.  You have full proficiency in English, in addition Finnish is preferred. This position requires ability to travel occasionally.
