Introduction
We are looking for a Communications Manager, Safety and Quality to join Metso's Communications and Brand team. In this role, you will focus on driving a strong safety and quality culture at Metso through various communications activities, by working closely with Metso's stakeholders on safety and quality management topics and by aligning the activities with the overall Metso communications strategy, goals, and processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on other communications areas and join a team of experienced communications professionals.
This position is mainly located in Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
The position is in the global Communications and Brand team, and this role reports to the Function Communications team lead. The team is responsible for managing group function communications in line with Metso's strategy and function plans, and in close co-operation with Group function senior leadership and other key internal stakeholders, including e.g. HR, sustainability and QEHS teams.
What you'll do
- Driving and developing Metso's safety and quality agenda with the global QEHS team and the Quality Board, thus promoting a strong safety and quality culture within Metso.
- You will collaborate closely with other internal key stakeholders, such as group functions, market areas, and business management.
- Developing and managing the annual clock of various communications activities and addressing safety and quality-related topics according to the plan.
- This will include defining the communications plans and key messages, preparing internal or external presentations, blogs, customer-focused materials, and so on, and delivering them utilizing Metso's global communications channels.
- Provide expert input for the development of training materials on safety or quality.
- Planning and implementing new initiatives to improve safety and quality performance at Metso.
Who you are
- A relevant university degree.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Skills of other languages, are advantages.
- Understanding of Metso's business and the customer industries. Knowledge of safety, operations, quality management, and auditing-related topics is an advantage.
- Experience working in a global company.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of multi-channel content creation and tools.
- Ability to build relationships and trust with various internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
