Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our Technical Sales team in Vaasa in a newly established role. This position plays a key role in driving our sales growth by providing expert guidance to our customers on the use of our protection relays. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to develop and refine relay configuration templates, ensuring a seamless integration and ramp-up with our latest devices. Your technical expertise and customer-centric approach will be instrumental in enhancing our product adoption and customer satisfaction.

This position reports to Technical Sales Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Developing protection relay configurations according to customer specifications and requirements
- Supports customers getting started with our protection relays
- Creating templates for various applications to support business growth
- Testing and verifying customer configurations and templates
- Creating standardized process for developing and testing configurations
- Assisting in the development of sub-supplier partnerships

You will join a dynamic and highly technical team within our sales organization. Our team is composed of professionals with a high level of competence, bringing together expertise from colleagues located globally. We support our customers in the pre-sales phase worldwide, offering guidance and technical assistance. Our team handles various pre-sales tasks, including technical support, testing, and training, ensuring our customers are well-prepared and confident in their solutions.

Qualifications for the role:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with protection application, distribution networks, the Relion portfolio and PCM600 tool
- Experience in testing with Omicron or similar secondary injection devices.
- A M.Sc. or B.Sc. level degree preferably from electrical engineering
- Ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Possibility to travel based on need - travel need approximately 15 %
- Other languages considered a benefit
