NIB is seeking a

CONTROLLER with emphasis on sustainability reporting

to join the Accounting Unit. The unit currently consists of 11 employees and is responsible for managing NIB’s financial controlling and internal and external financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner. As sustainability is at the very core of NIB´s purpose, we are constantly developing our related reporting, and the selected person will have a key role in this process. Alongside the development of sustainability reporting, we are also engaged in other strategic transformation initiatives, such as replacing our core finance system. This means the selected candidate will join the team at an ideal time for planning and learning.

Main responsibilities

  • Play a key role in both our interim and annual reporting process, with emphasis on our sustainability reporting.
     
  • Participate in developing our sustainability reporting and its data and control processes.
     
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, especially with our Sustainability, Risk and Communications units.
     
  • Act as a subject matter expert in sustainability reporting within the accounting team.
     
  • Contribute to the development of general accounting and reporting related activities.
     
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc external and internal reporting related activities. 

Required qualifications

  • Some professional experience in accounting and/or auditing.
     
  • Insight and knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, preferably including ISSB- and CSRD-standards, and a strong drive to learn and develop more in this area.
     
  • Understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards, knowledge related to the financial industry would be an advantage.
     
  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite, both spoken and written; knowledge of one of the NIB member country languages is an advantage.
     
  • Strong collaborative and team-working skills combined with a proactive working style.
     
  • Curiosity to learn new things and having a change mindset.
