Who are we looking for?

We are searching for a Team Leader to lead and support one of our Data Science teams in our AI, Analytics & Automation Solutions technology segment. 

We are seeking an individual who combines technical expertise with good people skills. At Wapice, our Team Leaders are more than administrative leaders, they actively contribute hands-on to personal customer projects, requiring solid technical skills. Additionally, Your role involves facilitation of team operations, such as keeping development discussions, steering team gatherings, monitoring workloads and fostering the growth of each team member.

With your background in data science, AI or cloud technologies you support and lead your team, demonstrating our "Passion to be Ahead" in technological advancements. 

Regarding relevant competence, we value knowledge in some of the following domains:

• Big data
• Analytics and visualization
• Machine learning / deep learning
• Computer vision
• LLMs
• SaaS
• Edge computing
• Serverless computing
• Model-as-a-service
• MLOps

Qualifications:

• A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience in data science or cloud technology roles.
• Some experience of taking on further responsibilities, such as people leadership roles or project management.
• A positive mindset combined with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluent English language skills

The position is permanent, full time position and located in Finland. The work can be done from any of our sites in Finland (Tampere, Vaasa, Helsinki, Turku, Seinäjoki, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Hyvinkää or Oulu) and of course flexibly remotely (in Finland), too.
